Craft - Rock Painting

Supplies

Pebble Rocks (smooth flat surface)

Paint brushes varying size depending on how detailed your rock will be

Acrylic paints

Paint Pens and Markers

Modge Podge Glue (to seal the paint)

Instructions – Puppy Rock 4 – 6 year olds

1.       Before you start painting your rock, always wash it first in warm soapy water and let the rock dry out completely.

2.       Cover your rock entirely in white paint.  This may need a couple of coats, make sure you let each coat dry before applying the next one.

3.       Draw an oval onto the rock for the dog’s ear using either paint brush or black pen

4.       Draw a half circle for the dog’s mouth

5.       Draw small circle for nose using black pen and when try paint a small white line in circle to make it look like dog’s nose is shiny

6.       Draw 2 small ovals for the eyes and two small half circles above the eyes for dogs eyebrows.

7.       Leave everything to dry out and then coat the rock with Modge Podge glue to seal in the design.
